Liaison with History - Dance and WWI Fundraising
Tuesday, November 11 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. (Eastern time) LIVE-STREAMED
An exclusive talk at DCD Gallery that will also be live-streamed across Canada. Learn about the fundraising role that dance teacher Amy Sternberg and the children's performing group, The Winnipeg Kiddies, fulfilled during World War I. Join DCD in commemorating the 100th anniversary of the start of World War I, see artifacts from the collection and learn about how dancers made a contribution to the war effort.

Grassroots Archiving Workshop
December 3, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. (Eastern time) LIVE-STREAMED

This workshop will help participants learn what to keep, how to store it, how to organize and catalogue materials, and types of storage supplies to use. Participants are invited to bring questions, or a small group of items for consideration. Registration fee $20.

Canada's Pre-eminent Showman: The Artistry of Alan Lund
Confederation Centre Art Gallery,

This exhibit brings together treasures from the collections of Dance Collection Danse, Confederation Centre Art Gallery, Charlottetown Festival, and the personal collections of Blanche Lund, Gerry Gray and Amanda Hancox to illuminate the contributions of dancer, choreographer and director Alan Lund to the development of dance and musical theatre in Canada.
