The workshops will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Ryerson University from 2:00 – 3:30pm. Workshops will include a ballet class with Evan McKie, Principal Dancer with the National Ballet of Canada, and an Indigenous dance workshop with Margaret Grenier, Artistic Director of the Dancers of Damelahamid from British Columbia.

An inductee panel discussion moderated by Ilter Ibrahimof, Artistic Director of Fall for Dance North, will follow from 4:00 – 5:00pm. The panel will include 2019 Encore! Dance Hall of Fame inductees Louise Lecavalier, Lois Brown, Michael Crabb, David Earle, Patricia Beatty and Margaret Harris, along with Margaret Grenier.

Made up of a selection of cross-disciplinary artists from coast to coast, the panel promises a lively discourse on the national scope of dance in Canada and the value of dance history and preservation. We hope you can join us for this special event to celebrate dance legacies past, present and future.
