Canadian dance voices

For almost 40 years DCD has been giving Canadian voices an outlet to share their dance stories.  For this summer’s campaign we’re highlighting the core things we do and where your donations go.

We need your help to preserve the legacies of Canada’s dance community. Please consider donating today.

Books – Capturing and Sharing Canada’s Dance Narrative

TDCD has published 41 books dedicated to Canadian dance and its history, with book #42 in the works. Ranging from biographies, to reference books, to essay collections, to narratives that shine a light on specific regions, genres, or companies – our catalogue is as diverse and inspiring as the country in which these stories originate. Without DCD, this important recording process of an ephemeral art form would not happen.

“Books will outlive us all.”
~ Miriam Adams, C.M., DCD Co-founder/Advisor

Currently published annually, the magazine is free to donors and only $10 for anyone who wishes a copy.
